To those of you who may not have been to Makati in a while, this is how the BPI head office now looks like, post-demolition.
Built in 1978, the BPI building had been torn down to give way to a 224-meter glass-clad structure, overshadowing its neighbor across Paseo de Roxas, The Enterprise Center, whose Tower 1 stands at close to 172 meters.
The new BPI building is targeted to be finished and ready for occupancy by 2030, more than twice taller at 45 floors from the original 20.
The new building will also have seven basements.
