There is supposed to be honor among thieves, but apparently not between pro-Leni and pro-BBM broadcast alumni of ABS-CBN.
This bitter lesson was stuck in the back of leading senatorial candidate Loren Legarda when her ex-ABS-CBN colleague, Maria Ressa of Rappler, allowed the hate-filled rant from Legarda's sexually confused son about his mother's "endorsing fascism" by running under the BBM-Sara slate be published editorially unchallenged.
The editorial challenge, by way of an editor's note, would have presented another inconvenient, but simple truth: that Legarda happens to also be on the senatorial slate of the anti-fascist, anti-Duterte, anti-Marcos Kilusang Mayo Uno labor organization.
"Their crimes are her crimes now," wrote Lorenzo Leviste, the elder of the two Legarda sons said of his mother's alliance with Marcos Jr., forgetting that who, between his mother and his father, actually has blood on his hands.
As of this writing, ABS-CBN, with its deep links with Loren Legarda, and The Philippine Star, where the son used to write a lifestyle and society column, have maintained the editorial "dedma", hesitating, refusing?, to enter into what the Proverbs warn of son-despises-mother realm.
Still, on the basis of early Facebook comments from Legarda's other ex-ABS-CBN colleagues, it looks like the making of a night of long knives is upon Loren.
